Utah Privacy Commission
Formerly Known as the Personal Privacy Oversight Commission
The Personal Privacy Oversight Commission was created during the 2021 General Legislative Session by HB 243. Pursuant to statute, the State Auditor appoints five members of the commission, the Governor appoints five members, and the Attorney General appoints two members. (See Utah Code 63C‐24‐201.) The Commission was renamed in 2024, under Utah Code 63C-24-202.
