Internship and Entry-level Financial Auditor
The Office recruits annually for internships and entry-level positions through college and university career centers. Interested applicants should contact their career center for details about applying with the Office and our fall recruiting process.
Responsibilities of an Intern and Entry-Level Staff Financial Auditor include:
- Conducting professional entry-level auditing duties for financial, compliance, and special audits of state departments, agencies, and institutions of higher education.
- Analyzing, summarizing, and/or reviewing data; preparing audit work papers; identifying potential issues; interpreting results; and reporting findings and/or making recommendations
- Writing or drafting documents.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
For the Financial Auditor position, preference is given to candidates with either 1) a CPA license, 2) a Master’s Degree in Accounting, or 3) a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance with an undergraduate degree in Accounting.
